The Dog Grapevine personal favorite crate is the Sof-Krate N Series by NozToNoz. It is extemely durable and convenient. It collapses for easy transporation. I'm lucky because my dog is small I can leave it open all the time and still fit it into the trunk of my car. I take it to dog training classes, dog shows, hotels, to the park, and just about anywhere that I want my dog to be protected. Here is how it works:

Please note, that I would never recommend using a portable soft crate of any kind with a puppy. You should only use one after they are over the "chewing" stage.
